Copper statue of Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava gilded with 24 carat gold, sculpted and hand painted with gold leaf in Nepal.
Padmasambhava is seated on a lotus throne holding a vajra with His right hand while His left hand dhyana mudra, holds a skull cup containing the nectar of wisdom immortality. Leaning on his left shoulder a “khatvanga” (ritual trident) with three severed heads symbolizing the liberation from the three main causes of suffering (kayas).
The characteristic hat is adorned with an eagle feather on top and His robes are beautifully sculpted with meticulous decors.

Guru Rinpoche is considered by Tibetan Buddhists to be the second Buddha, the master that introduced Buddhism to Tibet and spread the practice of tantra in all Himalayan region.
Padmasambhavaan was born from a lotus blossom and considered emanation of Buddha Amitabha. He was known for His power to control spirits and protect the practitioners of Dharma from their influence.

This high quality statue was sculpted from copper alloy and fully gilded with pure gold by expert artisans that carry on a hundreds years old tradition.
