In this beautiful thangka Amitabha is seated on a lotus throne decorated in gold and supported by snow lions and elephants.
Two bodhisattva are depicted standing on each side and two monks above, all surrounded by a red halo with a rainbow arch.
The central image is surrounded by 127 seated Buddhas with red, white, blue or brown skin wearing red, orange and purple finely decorated robes, each one with a different mudra gesture.
On the bottom row are seen starting at left, the lineage of teachers, monks in hats and lamas.
