The lotus mandala is dedicated to Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava, the lotus-born master.
The center of this mandala stands out thanks to the beautiful and intricate gold decor inside a multi layered squared structure representing a temple.

The mantra inscribed inside the inner circle is “om mani padme hum ah hung” and the syllable in the center is the OM in traditional newari script.

The walls of the temple have four doors and each one is guarded by two macaras, watching the gateways.
The golden center is protected by the ring of fire and wisdom, and surrounded by a beautiful composition of lotus petals in different shades of colors that makes this mandala so pleasant to the eyes.
